Our dedicated team aim to provide high quality specialist level dental treatment in a caring, modern environment.

Steve qualified as a dentist from the University of London in 1993. He then spent a period of time in NHS practice and junior doctor type hospital posts in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery until 1999 when he entered a 5-year specialist training program in Restorative Dentistry. During this specialist training program Steve gained extensive experience in all aspects of Restorative Dentistry and further enhanced his training with a period of elective study at the University of San Francisco in California.

After completion of specialist training Steve was appointed as a Consultant in Restorative Dentistry at the Eastman Hospital in London with a particular interest in the management of patients with congenitally missing teeth (hypodontia).

Steve has completed a research project on dental bridges as part of his Master in Dental Science qualification and has published numerous articles in peer-reviewed national and international journals on a wide variety of topics. He has a particular interest in teaching and has lectured extensively to dentists, specialists and trainees. He has been invited to speak at national and international conferences and is an Educational and Clinical Supervisor for dentists currently undergoing Specialist training in Restorative Dentistry and the monospecialty of Prosthodontics. This involves not only training the dentists on the clinical and theoretical aspects of dental treatment, but also nurturing their development and skills on lecturing, clinical audit and NHS management so that they are ready to become Consultants and Specialists. Steve has been involved in this type of training role for over 12 years now and has seen many of his trainees successfully take up their own Consultant posts.

As part of his NHS Consultant post, Steve has attended numerous committee meetings to improve patient care. He was Clinical Lead for the Department of Prosthodontics from 2013-2017 and is currently the Hypodontia Clinic Lead and Implant lead. He is an examiner for the Diploma in Implant Dentistry and the Membership in Periodontics of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh.
